Founded in Amsterdam by two friends - one with a background in Business, the other in Future Planet Studies - AKUA was born out of our shared drive for health, sustainability, and minimalistic design.

The inspiration was simple: a roommate’s stainless steel bottle. It was practical, but it lacked everything else. We saw the opportunity to create the new standard - a bottle built to protect health and the planet, while looking as good as it performs.
